Paul Berget

Paul Berget received his undergraduate degree in classical guitar from the University of Minnesota in 1972. After graduation, he continued his studies on lute with the legendary lute scholar and teacher Diana Poulton at the Royal College of Music in London. In 1973, he appeared on Broadway in a musical production of “Cyrano” starring Christopher Plummer.

He has performed with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra as well as numerous early music ensembles including Rose Ensemble, Sprezzatura, Consortium Carissimi and the Minnesota Lute Quartet. His solo recordings can be heard on the Magnatune label.

Mr. Berget also owned and operated Podium Music which specialized in guitars and sheet music.
